SARA TORRES RAISBECK

Sara is the Outreach Officer of TIDE and started out as the centre’s research assistant.

Academically, she focuses on comparative politics and political history in Latin America. Prior to Oxford, Sara analysed political risk in Latin America at Control Risks and Eurasia Group, supported research on institutional strength in Latin America at the Wilson Center and on regional integration at the Council on Foreign Relations, and managed the international fundraising and outreach strategies of COL5VID. She was also Communications Coordinator at Colombia Risk Analysis, where she engaged with stakeholders from different sectors for research and business development purposes, and a Tyranny Tracker Fellow at Human Rights Foundation. Sara’s upbringing between Colombia and the Dominican Republic instilled in her a strong passion for sustainable development in Latin America. Sara holds a BA in International Relations and Latin American Studies from Tufts University, and an MPhil in Latin American Studies from the University of Oxford.
