CARLOS CABRERA

Economist specializing in sustainable productive development, fiscal policy, and its political economy. Since 2017, he has led the Economic Dialogue at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Mexico, advancing key initiatives on sustainable productive development and industrial policy. He co-authored the publication “Key Topics for the Implementation of a Sustainable Productive Development Policy in Mexico”, prepared in partnership with ECLAC after extensive dialogues with strategic actors. He is also the co-founder of the Alliance for Fiscal Justice, promoting progressive tax policies, and the project A Socio-environmental Pact for Mexico. In academia, he has taught at the Faculty of Economics at UNAM and holds a master’s degree in Economics from Humboldt University of Berlin.
