FANDI ACHMAD

Fandi Achmad is a DPhil candidate in International Development at Oriel College, University of Oxford. He has held various positions with over ten years of experience in international trade, digital trade, industrial and competition policies including in the Executive Office of the President of Indonesia and the ASEAN Secretariat. Currently, he consults for the St. Gallen Endowment for Prosperity Through Trade and has collaborated with UN ESCAP and OECD on digital trade regulatory projects. His doctoral research examines how digital trade influences technology diffusion in developing countries, supported by a Jardine Foundation Scholarship. Fandi holds degrees in Economics and Public Policy from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia, the University of Michigan, USA, and KU Leuven, Belgium, and was recognised as a Young Leader for Indonesia in 2010 by McKinsey & Co.
