This past Trinity Term, the TIDE Centre proudly launched its very first TIDE Spring Festival – a vibrant series of events designed to bring together researchers, policymakers, and innovation leaders to explore how industrial policy, technology, and innovation can drive prosperity for all.

Throughout the term, the festival featured inspiring conversations on topics ranging from rethinking global governance and industrial futures to celebrating climate innovation and the launch of Nigeria’s National AI Strategy.
Event highlights included:
- 13 May: World War book launch with Jostein Hauge and Emily Jones
- 16 May: Innovation and Development Detours with Keun Lee
- 20 May: Cut the waste! — reimagining industrial policy beyond materials with Meriem A., Manuel Albaladejo, Diana Barrowclough, Jose Bruno Feveirero, and Amir Lebdioui
- 28 May: Launch of Energy Transitions: Just and Beyond! dossier with Sabrina Fernandes, Paris Marx, and Amir Lebdioui
