TIDE at London Climate Action Week: A Green and Just Planet with SOAS and IIPP

On 23 June 2025, the TIDE Centre participated in A Green and Just Planet: G20 to COP30 Visions, hosted at SOAS University of London as part of London Climate Action Week. The event convened key members of Brazil’s G20 Group of Experts and global thought leaders to discuss how Brazil’s twin leadership roles—as G20 President and upcoming COP30 host—can drive a more equitable and coordinated global climate agenda.

The keynote was delivered by Ambassador André Corrêa do Lago, President of COP30, followed by a panel drawing on the findings of the TF-CLIMA Group’s report, A Green and Just Planet. TIDE Director Amir Lebdioui joined Daniela Gabor, Mariana Mazzucato, and Ulrich Volz to explore pathways for aligning green industrial policy and climate finance with the 1.5ºC target.

This dialogue marks an important contribution toward shaping just and strategic climate action in the lead-up to COP30
