Charlie is pursuing an MPhil in Development Studies. His research examines the relationships between state institutions and green industrial policymaking in Mexico and Costa Rica. Broadly, he is interested in political economy and international politics.

Prior to his MPhil, Charlie worked as a researcher at the Australia Institute’s Centre for Future Work, focusing on green industrial policy, public services, and labour economics. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Politics and International Studies at the University of Melbourne. Charlie’s studies at Oxford are supported by the Ramsay Postgraduate Scholarship.
