Mario Solari is an investor and independent board member with more than 20 years of experience across global and emerging markets. As Principal of Primrose Investments, he manages a long-term investment portfolio of public and private businesses and serves on the boards and investment committees of public companies, family offices, fintech businesses, and nonprofit organizations. Previously, he was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Genesis Investment Management, one of the world’s leading emerging markets investment firms, where he led investments across Latin America and Southeast Asia and helped manage assets that peaked at over $40 billion.

He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a degree in Finance and Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Mario is also a mentor and guest lecturer at Columbia’s Applied Value Investing Program, is an ultra-distance trail runner, and serves with organisations focused on democratic leadership and economic opportunity, including +ParaChile and the GENEM Foundation. He lives in London with his wife and three daughters.
